The Indian fritillary (Argynnis hyperbius) also known as Chinese tropical fritillary is a butterfly of nymphalid family found in south and south-east Asia. This is a species of brush-footed butterfly, belongs to Nymphalidae family, mostly found in the Himalayas ranges from Sikkim, Khasi Hills, upper Burma extending to China and Formosa. It can also be found in southern Japan. This single adult female butterfly was seen flying gently and resting for a while on cosmos flowers to nectar. Its pleasurable gorgeousness mesmerizes me and I bagged its delicate beauty without delay.
