After a long time, finally a new photo!

“The Brittle Treasure” | Marinha Beach, Portugal

Waking up long before sunrise, when everything is pitch black on the outside, always feel like some sort madness as you get up. The body is not happy, and the mind feels numb with the unexpected situation. Finally, after a jolt coming from epically strong coffee, your imagination finally starts coming to its senses, realizing that perhaps it will be worth it.

The photo gear has been prepared the day before, and the group is ready to be led to one of the most beautiful coastlines in the whole world. The bus trip is quite short and there’s already a very slight layer of light near the horizon, showing some always-desired clouds to enrich the sky.

Exhaustion starts giving place to excitement, but there’s still a small hike to be made until our shooting destination. It’s still dark enough to warrant for the need of headlights, and there we go, a group of apparently crazy people, walking in darkness near the edge of the beautiful cliffs of Algarve, headed to a classic and unforgettable viewpoint, anxiously waiting to see what Nature had prepared for that day.

This image shows one of the many displays of epic light during the last Photo-Tour in Portugal, where the group was unbelievably lucky with the weather conditions. Watching and shooting such a powerfully warm sunrise, while standing on a cliff that overwhelms the senses, is definitely an unfathomable experience!

And so, while the world slept, one more day had risen, filled with the beauty of an endlessly fragile planet. Hope we manage to find a way to keep being able to watch it for a very long time…

pir miracle both the equipment with I survived. the fright was very great, but as soon as I’m 100% I’m going back to the same place and take that picture!
